General Service Details - Suspension
Fork
A general service on a suspension fork consists of
complete disassembly, clean and inspection of all parts, with stress and
wear areas examined for tolerances and fatigue.
If at this stage fork bushings need replacing the owner
will be contacted regarding an extensive rebuild, bush installation prices
Most often front suspension units do not require bushing
replacement, with few needing only bushing sizing or re-seating and
this is carried out as part of the general service.
Sealed, semi sealed and open bath damping cartidges
and air spring cartridges are disassembled to aid seal
replacement, including inspection of cartridge bores for damage
or fatigue. Pistons, valves and shims are inspected and o-rings, quad rings, pneumatic seals ( if applicable ) and glide
rings are replaced, the cartridge/s reassembled and ckecked for correct
operation.
( some factory sealed damping cartridges can not be
disassembled, although purging several times with fresh suspension fluid
normally cleans the internal mechanisim adequately )
Fork leg oil seals, foam rings and dust wipers
are replaced. The fork is reassembled with new crush
washers or foot nut washers and o-rings, then the unit filled with
fresh oil to factory specifications or owners
requests.
The rebuilt unit is bench tested for correct operation,
cleaned, packaged and sent back to the owner. Freight costs
are included in service prices.

General Service Details - Rear
Shock
A general service on a rear shock consists complete disassembly, clean and inspection of all parts, with
stress and wear areas examined for tolerances and fatigue. Coil springs
are examined for fatigue or signs coil bind.
If a new shock shaft or external/internal mechanism/part
is required the owner will be contacted regarding this.
All o-rings, quad rings, slip rings, glide rings, oil
seals and dust wipers are replaced, the shock shaft bushing is
inspected and replaced if worn.
The floating piston is set to factory specifications, and
oil replacement is airless due to complete immersion.
Where applicable a nitrogen re-charge or recommended
air pressure in the reservour/IFP housing/Boost valve.
New air sleeve seals, bushings and valve cores for air
shocks.
All air assist and air spring shocks are set with average
air pressure. The owner must adjust the settings to the manufacturers
recommendations, if they do not supply the nessasary details for us to
accomplish this ( rider weight and riding style is adequate
information )
Eyelet DU bushings are replaced for a minimal extra
charge, and if alloy reducers are damaged or worn they are also replaced
at extra cost, prices for reducers here
The rebuilt unit is bench tested on the dyno, air shocks
are supplied with a silicone travel indicator and the shock is packaged
and sent back to the owner, freight costs are included in service
