New rear shocks are available from HSC, including a wide range
of factory parts and service kits for most popular makes, with the option
of service and tuning for preventative maintenance.
If you are upgrading the rear shock and/or
the fork, consider matching the spring medium....air or coil
spring.
Supply details such as your rider weight, including
your kit and a general description of your preferred type of riding,
and details such as model and year of bicycle for correct spring
rates.
Like any high performance vehicle the
suspension is what aids traction and control, if your objective is to
go fast then improvement of the damping characteristics can certainly
help, enquire into custom tuned suspension units.
With rear shock applications,
the shock stroke and eye to eye measurements are
required, including frame mounting tab measurements and
rocker/linkage details for correct mounting
hardware.
